We’ve been in the dark for far too damn long on any Halo 4 news but finally the long night will end. Microsoft is having an Xbox 360 Spring Showcase Feb 29thand Halo 4 will be there. Expect other titles like Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and also Project Draco.
With this being 343 Industries first go at the Halo franchise; expectations are big. The potential for something amazing is there with all of the in-house talent that Microsoft has gathered at 343, and it would be nice to see the Halo franchise finally take that much needed evolutionary step forward.

Rumor: Thanks to some not very discreet Italian Gaming Journalists, we have our first details on Halo 4, or not? Not sure, but either way here you go. Make of it what you will Spartan. Rough Google Italian translation ahoy!
5. Grand Theft Auto V

Only getting the fifth spot on my list of future time consumers because the simple fact that it has to be better than GTA IV or I’m not going to play it at all. GTA IV is terrible, I can’t play it for more than 5 minutes without getting fed up and no more than half hour without turning it off.
The trailer looks good, the game looks brighter and more fun - and that’s what a GTA game should be. It seems that Rockstar have sent all the fun and weirder members of the team to go design Max Payne 3 (which looks awful btw).
4. Resident Evil 6

I’ve always loved Resident Evil, right from the beginning. The only ones I’ve never played are ones only on handhelds because I’m not paying that much for a gaming machine that I don’t want.
Resident Evil 6 looks amazing from what we’ve seen so far. It seems to have incorporated aspects of Modern Warfare and Mass Effect 2, in so much as it appears to have parallel running narratives and some cover based shooting. It looks like you can do more with the characters rather than just shooting enemies when they’re far away and knifing them when they get close.
343 Industries released some new Halo 4 concept art that’s looking hot. If we get even some of this stuff in the game, I’m thinking Halo 4 is going to take a hell of a lot of people by surprise and be the best entry in the series.

New Halo 4 screens
Some of you thought when I posted those Reach scans that I was full of fanboy hype at the visuals. Nay, good sir or madam. The hype is real and for a damn good reason. Halo 4 is looking “You’re telling me this is going to run on my Xbox and not one powered by plutonium” good. Check out the images for yourself and then think of how this baby is going to look in motion. Might I add, I love seeing the Metroid Prime influence in the new HUD. I guess those dudes from RETRO studios now over at 343i added a dash of Samus to Mister Chief. As you can also tell, 343 knows how to make faces that don’t look like they were beaten with an ugly stick. Let’s hear it for progress!
PROMETHEAN KNIGHTS
HEIGHT: 10ft 1in (308cm) WEIGHT: 934lbs (423.7kg)
Residents of the artificial world of Requiem, Promethean Knights represent the central occupying enemy force, legions of extremely capable combatants with both ancient and mysterious origins. While these Prometheans are significantly different from the legendary Forerunner Warrior-Servants of ages past, these Knights are no less harrowing. They are fully weaponized, heavily armored bipedal warriors, easily capable of engaging and terminating perceived threats in almost all environments. They are truly lethal creatures, taken lightly only at one’s peril.
Can I just mention how in love I am with the designs of these guys? Because I totally am. I really like the floating body parts~ *-*

You know when you grow up in a house and then a few years after you’ve moved out you drive past and see that the house as changed so much and you feel a bit upset? I don’t think 343 Industries will give us that feeling. Instead, they added a slide from the roof to a pool, a basketball ring and a whole bunch of other cool stuff. That will only make sense if you think of Halo as the house you grew up in and Halo 4 as the new renovated version of it.
